Our Curriculum

The curriculum at DBS is modelled on the National Curriculum for England, significantly enhanced by Wow Learning, the study of Arabic throughout, and a challenging set of GCSE and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. The opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied extra-curricular activities programme (ECA).

Person Specification

DBS EH seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Head of Arabic Subjects. Aside from experience, personality is very important, we look for inspirational leaders who leave a lasting impression on students for years to follow. If you can demonstrate outstanding standards of teaching and learning and leadership, with a passionate, enthusiastic, creative, and dynamic attitude then we want to hear from you!

Education:

Due to KHDA regulations, we can only employ individuals with recognised teaching qualification and a degree in the specialist subject that you teach.

• High-Quality Degree in Arabic Language or Arabic Literature (2:1 and above).
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ senior or middle leadership experience
• GCSE Teaching Experience – essential.
• A’ Level Teaching Experience – highly desirable.
• An individual with confidence and a proven track record of outstanding results as a leading Head of Department.
