Key Responsibility Areas xc2xb7 Responsible and accountable for driving heavy truck to transport and deliver cargo xc2xb7 Responsible and accountable for maintaining radio or telephone contact with base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new location. xc2xb7 Responsible and accountable for witnessing the loading and unloading of cargo in his truck and ensuring that they are in good condition xc2xb7 Responsible and accountable for ensuring that the number of pallets tally with customer shipping documents. xc2xb7 Responsible and accountable for positioning blocks and tying ropes around items to secure cargo for transport. xc2xb7 Responsible and accountable for ensuring that only accurate PODxe2x80x99s are signed by the customer and the driver. xc2xb7 Responsible and accountable for keeping vehicle clean, checking the condition of vehicles tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order. xc2xb7 Responsible for reporting any vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs. xc2xb7 Responsible and accountable for complying with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner. xc2xb7 Maintains knowledge of first-aid procedures. xc2xb7 Prepares and submits reports that may include the number trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption. xc2xb7 Responsible for reporting delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
