Job Description
Responsible for: (The main job activities)
- Being the focal point within the department for all relevant OHS&E issues.
- Communicating OHS&E matters advised to him from management through the line of communication within the department.
- Assist in the promotion of safe working practices & OHSE issues within the department.
- Assist in the promotion of all safety alerts from the Health &Safety Department and take part in Toolbox talks.
- In the event of a fire, other emergency, or drill, assume the role of emergency Coordinator / Fire warden.
- Inspection of job activities on board and workshop, update the existing risk assessments and develop new risk assessments for new activities.
- Safety, Quality and Environment Non conformity report raising / tracking and monitoring.
- Preparation of documents for the monthly internal HSEQ meeting and records keeping.1
- Raising near misses and maintaining records.
- Liaison and coordinate with Safety, Quality and Environment Departments regarding Safety, Quality and Environment issues.
- Investigation of accidents and incidents and reporting to the concerned personnel.
- Preparation of the department management program, maintaining records and statistics
- Maintain Training Need Analysis, Training Matrix, Statistics, and scheduling of training
- Maintain records of all activities for various Safety, Quality and Environment audits.
- Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.
Preferred Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Training in Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor / IOSH / HSEQ related Trainings
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar field
