Local Unit & Position Description:
Maritime Advisory Dubai is a consulting hub in Region South East Europe, Middle East & Africa. The unit work closely together with our global advisory hubs located in Oslo, Hamburg, Piraeus/Athens, Singapore, Shanghai, Miami/Houston, Mumbai and Sydney. DNV Maritime Advisory ambition is to be providing tailor-made management and technical advisory services within the maritime, energy and offshore industry.
As a DNV intern, you will work with and be mentored as you develop solutions and deliver impactful change. You will have roles that expose you to working with a high performing team as well as being in a client facing environment, gaining a full perspective of life as a consultant.
You will find yourself at client site, or crunching data, or part of workshops where creative solutions are brainstormed. Your role as an associate consultant will give you the well-rounded exposure that will lead you to becoming a consultant with DNV or to pursue specific career ambitions.

Advisory provides consulting solutions from the board room to the techno/operations, including decarbonization markets and technologies. The clients include governments, ship-owners and ship operators, banks and financiers, yards and ports. We are seeking candidates to support our team of experience maritime consultants in advisory projects as well as Research and Innovation activities.
The selected individuals can expect to work in a dynamic, high performing team with diverse background and experience, accelerated learning curve and working on exciting projects with meaningful impact to the clients’ organisation and wider maritime industry. As an intern, you will be part of an experienced team conducting research or delivering tailor-made solutions to our clients within the Region and beyond, covering all elements of data research and analysis.
Past outstanding candidates have been offered permanent positions in DNV Dubai office, and some have subsequently moved to other DNV offices in Norway and USA, or being promoted to senior role due to continuous excellent performance.
Position Qualifications:
- Highly motivated individual to achieve superior results through teamwork & individual performance.
- Completed Bachelors (or) Pursuing Post Graduate qualifications in one or more of the following subjects: Shipping, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Economics/Finance, Engineering.
- Creative problem solvers (or) Has past consulting experience.
- Flexible, agile and very keen interest to learn.
- Creative and does not stop till finds a solution.
