Job DescriptionRole Purpose Overarching duties as a Daman leader: Develop/implement department strategy following Daman’s strategy, set departmental and operational goals, and initiate measures to reach goals and improve overall department performance.Lead performance management process that evaluates progress against departmental goalsResponsible for result-oriented management and development of people and resources, incl. the provision of strong day-to-day leadership presence involving resource allocation, monitoring, reporting, and conducting regular staff meetings.Foster organizational culture by establishing quality awareness and service orientation and complying with and implementing processes such as Project Management and Change ManagementPromote recruitment and development of UAE Nationals to contribute to Daman’s strategic goalsLead the development, implementation, and adherence of policies and procedures. Department specific: Conduct market research and provide useful insights and information regarding market competitors and customers to support business decisions.Manage contracting with Dubai and Northern Emirates healthcare providers to meet network targets and financial goals and build up the provider network and determine the provider mix and distribution.Work with appropriate internal departments to manage Dubai and Northern Emirates provider’s reconciliation to meet Daman’s goals. Lead the negotiation with Dubai and Northern Emirates providers to obtain optimum services, prices, and terms of payment.Evaluate needs for Dubai and Northern Emirates providers (additions/deletions) to determine the best mix and distribution of providers.Prepare required communications such as circulars and instructions to Dubai and Northern Emirates Providers for updates of policies and processes. Ensure data management functions are completed accurately and timely. Review/monitor statistical data regarding the performance of Dubai and Northern Emirates providers (Provider Profiling)Evaluate escalated complaints regarding providers to ensure proper reaction and timely resolution.Set plans, suggest, and implement projects to develop Dubai and Northern Emirates provider’s work methods (e.g. provider manual)Liaise with the regulators in Dubai and Northern Emirates as required Key Requirements and Qualifications8+ years of related experience; 5 years of which must be in a management or supervisory position.5+ years of experience in provider relations or equivalent. Experience working on data analysis or in data-oriented management.Experienced in negotiation and conducting presentations.Recognised coding certification is preferred.Bachelor’s degree in any field; degree in medical or any health-related field is preferred.Masters’ degree is a plus.
