JOB PURPOSE:
To supervise assigned projects within the approved timelines to meet project requirements and department objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Core Responsibilities:
Manpower Supervision- Supervising internal skilled and unskilled workers assigned in projects in order to comply with the project plan.
Subcontractor Supervision- Supervising subcontractors work to ensure projects deliverables are in accordance to the project plan.
Materials / Equipment Coordination- Coordinating project material and equipment requirements with concerned department to enable smooth project installations as per the project schedule.
Manpower Allocation- Overseeing the daily / weekly manpower schedules for the ongoing projects to properly distribute workers as per project requirements.
EH&S Compliance- Imposing safe work practices during site installations and site activities to comply with EH&S standards.
QA/QC Compliance- Following project method statements, specifications and drawings to comply with QA/QC standards.
Reporting- Filling and submitting daily progress reports and site logs to line manager in order to keep higher management updated on the project status.
Landscape experience- External works for earth works such as cut and levelling.
Temporary nursery arrangement prior start shifting the DM trees.
Ghaff and Native trees transplantation process and its maintenance to avoid mortality.
Supervise the DM trees shifting from the nursery until the NAS project.
Daily routine maintance for the trees in the temporary nursery.
Manage all the landscape and irrigation activities during the construction period.
2. Self-Management Responsibilities:

Agree on the performance goals at the beginning of the year in discussion with the reporting manager
Take personal initiative and strive to achieve high levels of proficiency on all the tasks to be performed as a part of the role
Actively seek inputs from superiors and peers, to identify opportunities for improving own performance and developing own capability
Identify the training and development requirements for self and agree on them with the reporting manager
Manage all soft & hard landscape and irrigation related works at site on daily basis
Should have basic knowledge of various authority requirements during construction activities.
Able to read, understand & execute design drawing/ shop drawings.
Should have knowledge in earth works including survey assistance.
Should have knowledge in plant nursery maintenance and should be able to maintain site nursery.
Able to keep registry of nursery and its periodic update.
should have knowledge about plant care & management of pest & diseases.
Movement of resources from place to place as and when required

3. Managerial Responsibilities:
Strategic /leadership Responsibilities :
Participate and provide inputs in various control, governance and advisory committees, as applicable to the role
Define the operating framework, policies and quality standards for the department
Actively engage in the development of operational and business plans of reporting sections by providing requisite inputs and approvals.
Convey organizational strategy to the team, set departmental objectives and provide leadership direction to achieve goals
Formulate departments budget in conjunction with organizational budget, tracks expenses and ensure adherence to the assigned budgets
Take inputs from section heads to understand the workforce requirements and propose a workforce plan to the department lead
Managerial Responsibilities:
Participate and provide inputs in various control, governance and advisory committees, as applicable to the role
Convey organizational strategy to the team, set sectional objectives and provide leadership direction to achieve goals
Formulate section’s budget in conjunction with departmental budgets, track expenses and ensure adherence to the assigned budgets
Forecast workforce requirements for the section and propose the same to the department head
People Management Responsibilities
Define goals for team members and ensure objective periodic administration of the performance appraisal process, provides feedback on an on-going basis
Analyze people capability requirements and gaps from a business perspective and create systems and processes to enhance capability (e.g. a coaching program, job rotations etc.)
Retain and engage the talent employed and build a collaborative and high performance team

Actively provide inputs to team members on opportunities for performance improvement and capability development and take actions to leverage people’s strengths, and develop them through various available means
Identify skill gaps and organize trainings for the team on various aspects to ensure overall learning and development.
