Culture Flipper is looking for an Arabic LQA (Linguistic Quality Assurance) Specialist

As an LQA Specialist, you will work closely with Language Experts in reviewing English to Arabic translation texts and produce localization issue reports. This role will include the following responsibilities:

• Verify the linguistic accuracy of the text in all tested products by checking for typographical, grammatical, and punctuation errors.
• Create and manage issue reports
• Collaborate with our Language Experts to ensure high standards of linguistic quality are achieved
• Verify the correct implementation of the localized text. Ensure that all text is correctly displayed
• Ensure text quality through:
  • Correct formatting (or text layout)
  • Consistent phrasing
  • Correct use of terminology
  • Cultural and political appropriateness and sensitivity
  • that the text is consistent and the approved terminology is correctly used
• Identify bugs, and verify document solution implementation in a bug database.
• Run test cases and checklists
  • Decipher and execute test scripts in test cases
  • Identify issues and ambiguities in test scripts.
  • Review each item in the checklist against the English source and verify compliance with the client’s style guide.
• Propose the correct translations for the identified linguistic issues for the Language Lead to review

You must have the following:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in Arabic and English.
• Outstanding attention to detail with consistent use of terminology and correct grammatical writing
• The ability to write accurate, clear, and concise documentation in English and Arabic
• Experienced in successfully carrying out long-term QA projects
• Strong interpersonal skills. Used to working with different cultures
• Good IT knowledge, able to learn and adopt new tools quickly
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to cope under pressure and to work to tight deadlines
• Teamwork-oriented and collaborative
• 2+ years of experience as either freelance or in-house translator is an advantage
• Familiarity with CAT tool software is an advantage
