Summary:
This position is responsible for driving customer and regional sales strategies and must also be able to deputize and be an extension of the Sales Director.
Additionally, they will also be expected to provide geo-political expertise and must ensure that Collins Aerospace strategies are synergistic and aligned with the Strategic Business Unit and Functional group expectations. This individual will be responsible and accountable for customer performance across Interiors Services & Support portfolio. 50% domestic and international travel expected.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Establishes strategy to drive implementation of initiatives, financial growth opportunities and business development efforts.
- Manages network of relationships with key current and potential customers to achieve shared goals and lead customer relations management.
- Consults with the executive leadership team to drive strategy and partnership decisions.
- Guides coordination with marketing, sales, and technology groups to implement business development strategy.
- Monitors and evaluates the external environment for financial growth opportunities.
- Guides the broad planning and preparation of complex business proposals and makes recommendations to senior management to drive strategic decision making.

Additional Qualifications and Experience:
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with senior members of assigned customers
- Experience to gain support for the creation and implementation of a sub-regional/country Collins Aerospace strategies.
- A proven track record of working effectively in a matrix environment.
- Public Relations savvy and able to deliver Collins Aerospace’s key messages at industry events.
- Interfaces on all levels within the business including Account Executive team, Customer Service, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Operations.
- Interfaces with professional, skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled employees.
- Solid understanding of Interiors products and service offerings
- Establish regular meeting cadences for assigned customers.
- Become an expert on assigned accounts, develop customer specific strategies to manage account whilst achieving sales targets.
- Aerospace industry experience
- Account Management and Contract development experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the company’s customer base, their needs and requirements
- Aerospace account management and/or sales experience is preferred.
- Technical background is desirable.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience OR
- Advanced Degree in the appropriate discipline and 8 years of relevant experience OR
- In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is Required.
