We currently have an opening for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner based in Dubai to join our EMEA Regional People & Culture team. In this role your will work closely with the Vice President, People & Culture EMEA, regional People & Culture Business Partners, global and regional Centres of Expertise and the Middle East & Africa leadership team to deliver on Cochlear’s global people strategy and operational plan. To be successful in this role, you will build strong relationships within the MEA and EMEA regions and with regional and global People & Culture colleagues, develop an understanding of local, regional and global business priorities, advance those priorities through deployment of people processes and drive effective talent and performance outcomes. The People & Culture Business Partner is responsible for supporting and guiding employees and management through the full employee lifecycle, from planning, sourcing, recruiting, onboarding, capability development, engagement, performance management, talent review and succession planning. The Business Partner also handles sensitive employee relations matters and helps to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading/contributing to people related programs and initiatives solving key business needs
• Supporting and guiding employees and management through the full employee lifecycle, from planning, sourcing, recruiting, onboarding, capability development, engagement, performance management, talent review and succession planning
• Overseeing compensations and benefits topics as well as is accountability for managing payroll process through external providers
• Coaching and developing people managers to build their leadership capability and confidence
• Employment relations and managing complex and/or escalated employee or manager requests or organisational demands (including, governmental health & safety guidance and legislation)
• Identify and champion continuous improvement opportunities

Key requirements:

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with specialisations in Human Resource Management, Business, Psychology or Communications preferred
• 8+ years’ experience in Human Resources, working across the employee lifecycle, supporting multiple countries and a disbursed workforce across the Middle East and Africa
• Prior experience with people leadership helpful but not required

Knowledge and skills

• Working knowledge of UAE and KSA employment law
• Specialist HR expertise in Human Capital Management and Employee Relations
• Previous business partner support of senior level executive leadership
• Utilisation of data and insights for strategic advantage and effective operational execution
• Ability to work across boundaries in a global /matrixed organisation
• Spoken and written fluency in both Arabic and English
