We are recruiting for an experienced corporate/commercial lawyer to play an important role in our growing team, working closely with Partners and a busy team of associates and paralegals.   • Advising a wide range of clients (often household name multinational corporations) on:
  • corporate reorganisations and structuring,
  • complex regulatory licensing issues across the region, and
  • associated regulatory advice on compliance issues (including customs, commercial agency, corporate licensing etc).
  • Day to day management of corporate reorganisation/structuring projects.
  • Working closely with, supervising, and mentoring more junior associates and paralegals.
  • Supporting partners in developing the firm’s FDI and Corporate Structuring practice, in the UAE and wider region.
  • Overseeing the delivery of a high volume of corporate/commercial matters on a day-to-day basis.
  • Drafting agreements.
  • Drafting letters of advice and reports on corporate structuring, establishment options, restructuring/reorganisations and a wide range of other matters.
  • Assisting in marketing the capabilities of the team and firm.

Candidate requirements

  • Strong academic background and training from an international top tier law firm
  • A minimum of a 5 years’ experience working within a recognised corporate/commercial team with a strong reputation in Middle East corporate matters
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously on a wide range of matters
  • Supervisory experience working with paralegals and more junior associates
  • Pro-active, analytical, and commercial approach
  • Driven, enthusiastic and flexible team player
  • Strong track record of drafting letters of advice, reports, opinions, agreements, and other legal documents
  • Arabic language skills preferable
