What You’ll Do
Lead & drive technology design, optimization/implementation, execution, for projects/accounts to accelerate customer outcomes.
Provide/assist customers with integration and implementation of tools, systems, and service assurance for Cisco technologies.
Support presale activities and translate business requirements into solution design.
Build customer simulations in test labs to resolve/validate issues.
Create and deliver customer collateral, portals, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
Drive customer technology transitions, influencing solution architectures and services.
Align with and support company policies and processes and use relevant tools to efficiently implement the role and support Professional Services’ strategies and goals.
Play the role of an individual contributor.

Role and specific responsibilities
Associate with customers along with appropriate internal and external resources (e.g. Cisco account teams, partners) on the optimization /strategy/deployment of Cisco services and solutions.
Takes ownership of task/project implementation for assigned engagements.
Implement new techniques and methodologies used in customer delivery and share lessons learned with the broader team.
Builds and reviews project work e.g. Design recommendations, High-Level Design, Low-Level Design, Implementation/ Organizational Change Plans.
Builds and/or use test environments as required to resolve sophisticated problems & compatibility issues.
Demonstrates software skills and tools to configure, deploy and/or take on Cisco products and solutions.
Gives in the development of digital intellectual capital (e.g. scripts, digital signatures).
Acts as a focal point for problem resolution for assigned customer engagements.
Assures the accurate and quick resolution of major customer problems across an appropriate range of technologies.

Who You Are
Requires BE/B.Tech/BSC Computer Science and 6+ plus years of meaningful work experience.
Required CCIE certification and you have a drive for continuous learning.
Required deep knowledge and multi year experience in installation, configuration, implementation, testing, upgrades and migration of Data Center technologies focused on Cisco ACI software defined data center in a major service provider setting.
Strong Nexus 2K/5K/7K/9K platform knowledge and hands on experience.
Experience in designing Data Center solutions from traditional DC standalone Nexus design to VXLAN Fabric-based SDN solutions demonstrating Single-Site Fabrics, ACI MultiPod & Multisite Fabric architectures.
Familiar with virtualization and container environments (VMware, Microsoft, Kubernetes) and have technical exposure in integrating ACI with virtualization platforms through VMM integration.
Technical understanding and experience on DC solutions involving network services appliances (Firewalls, IPS, load balancers, WAN optimizer appliances) from a network integration perspective.
Technical knowledge and understandings of cloud computing involving multiple cloud providers like AWS, Azure, Google.
Network automation skills (Python) preferred
Knowledge of software programmability, automation, orchestration, and/or virtualization is required.
Deep knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies (VPC, STP, HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
Strong proficiency in English (both verbal and written)
Good written and verbal communications skills
Strong consulting, influencing & client-facing skills
Experienced in customer-facing roles including pre-sales and/or service delivery roles.
Expertise
Routing & Switching
Should have Knowledge on Routing and switching Technologies like IGMP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, MSTP, LACP, VLAN
Knowledge of IOS, IOS-XR and IOS-XE preferred
Service Provider
Experience with Cisco Routing and Switching products such as N9K and ASR9k
Experience working on Service Provider infrastructure
Experience and in-depth knowledge of Industry standard Routing protocols
DataCenter
Knowledge on Data Center, Cloud and Virtualization industry, ACI, Nexus products
Experience with Virtualization (OpenStack / VMware vSphere / Microsoft Hyper V / Red Hat KVM / Linux Containers etc)
Experienced Knowledge on LAN SW Technologies like STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, VXLAN-EVPN.
Knowledge of Cisco switching Platforms like Nexus 9k.
Knowledge of Nexus Switches and UCS products, Python or other programming languages
Leadership / Autonomy
Receives limited supervision. Resolves methods and procedures on new assignments. Provides guidance and mentoring to other engineers.
Mentor / develop others. Involved in strategic projects with high visibility. The emphasis is on complexity, active participant/initiator, and leader.
