Ideally the position will be based in the UK, Europe or Dubai and the successful applicant will need to work closely with teams and businesses across Asia, Europe and the US and will be part of the International Markets strategy team accountable for key deliverables for Cigna International Market’s future growth.
The role will provide the applicant with exposure across all aspects of the business and all levels of leadership in the business, providing a perfect career springboard into the business.
Job Description:
Support country managers, country teams and the Head of Strategy in planning and driving strategic initiatives, and assist in developing pragmatic solutions to strategic and operational issues
Plan, coordinate, execute and monitor projects / tasks in the capacity of a project manager on key strategic projects across International Markets
Provide advice and support to project partners on how project evidence and information has to be presented and reported
Build and deliver sales presentations to potential partner organizations and clients with the ability to help persuade and close business opportunities
Support major projects such as the implementation and strategic implementation of health services
Produce regular market news update to be distributed to senior management
Conduct independent research, as well as providing statistical and analytical support to local business units on research projects covering:
Customer segments
Products and services
Competitor analysis
Market entry strategies
Regulations
Industry trends and best practices, and others
Develop and maintain close working relationships with country managers, senior leadership teams, project team members and relevant key stakeholders across all functional areas.
Conceptualize new strategic initiatives built around or benefit from corporate, foundation, government, bilateral organizations or other partnerships
Learn to use all insight and market research tools offered by the strategy team and be a point of contact for questions from internal stakeholders.
Work closely with the International Markets finance team and US Cigna corporate strategy team on the annual enterprise strategic review and planning exercise
Requirement:
University graduate, or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years work experience in any of the following areas: strategic selling, consulting, strategy consulting, insurance or M&A
Excellent understanding of insurance or healthcare industry with specific knowledge of health services
Up to date on current affairs, with a strong grasp of competition, markets, regulatory, demographic and political trends that could shape our business and industry over time
Strong project management skills with experience in cross-functional teams and ability to handle multiple priorities
Excellent communicator and ability to build rapport quickly
Good verbal and written business English and a second language preferred
Able to travel to extensively on projects, due diligences, integrations or to meet and liaise with potential partners and clients
Strong analytic skills (financial, planning, operational)
Demonstrated drive to solve problems in a matrix team environment and leading with high energy and a positive attitude
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $114,200 – $190,400, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
