What you’ll be doing?
- Key contributor to the day-to-day accounting functions including but not limited to general ledger, fixed assets, revenue recognition, prepayments, accruals, A/P, A/R
- Ensure month end close entries are completed accurately and on a timely basis for all MENAP entities
- Prepare and review financial statements for statutory close monthly
- Responsible for the monthly financial reporting of the company on an IFRS basis to MENAP finance leadership
- Full reconciliation of all bank entries on an ongoing basis, ensuring items fully reconcile and any reconciling items are investigated ahead of month end close
- Preparation of audit schedules for all MENAP entities and act as key POC for audit queries and an integral contributor to the audit process (both locally and supporting the group audit with the consolidation of MENAP entities)
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Responsibility for all revenue recognition and accounting for all legal entities in the MENA region
- Key contributor to revenue and billing calculations and reconciliations for key clients and partners
- Assist with credit control activities for revenue to be collected in the MENA region, including receipting of invoice payments
- Key business partner for the commercial and strategic partnership teams to ensure new merchants and partners are correctly onboarded from a Finance perspective
- Prepare monthly and quarterly tax returns for legal entities in the MENAP region and ensure compliance with local tax regulations
- Provide reliable financial information for key decision making to local management in a timely manner
- Maintain documentation of financial process and participate in continuous process improvement
- Participate in any system implementation/ testing projects or enhancements to existing systems or new applications, as required
- Other tasks as directed by management
About you:
- Bachelor Degree in Economics, Accounting or equivalent with a strong academic record
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant
- 5 – 8 years relevant experience
- Experience working with a multinational, tech company including leading accounting, audit, revenue recognition, reconciliation, tax and compliance activities
- Big 4 experience is a plus
- Up-to-date technical skills and confident preparing IFRS financial statements
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and data manipulation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent analytical abilities
- Team player
- Well organized, self-sufficient, hardworking and committed to results
- Highly motivated and able to work towards tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong written and spoken English
