Charterhouse is working exclusively with a leading multinational manufacturer, who is looking to hire a Customer Service and Logistics Assistant. This role will support various business units to deliver customer satisfaction by taking responsibility for the coordination and follow up of the entire order and shipment process.
About the role
This role will be heavily geared towards communicating with different business units and factories located across the world to process commercial orders, following up on progress of shipments, payments and keeping a track of all pending deliveries. In addition, this role will also be responsible for taking accountability for coordinating with customers to keep them up to date on their order status, delivering unparalleled customer service through regular communication and proactive follow up to prevent any issues which could delay shipments.
Our client is looking for an individual who is highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, great communication skills and ability to problem solve in high pressure situations. There will be a lot of work with Microsoft excel, using spreadsheets and trackers to keep an up-to-date log of all orders and their status, therefore the successful candidate should have strong experience using this program as well as MS PowerPoint.
This commercial role will also play a part in the execution of marketing strategies and will support the global team with tasks such as preparation and distribution of marketing materials, social posting and assisting with exhibition/conference related POS.
About you
To be considered for this role, the candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, with 4 years minimum experience in a similar position working for a multinational manufacturer handling after sales customer service and logistics.
Our client requires an individual who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills as they will be expected to work effectively with different business units across the world and will be the key point of contact for all customer related queries. Due to the markets which this role will service, strong preference will be given to bilingual candidates who are fluent in English and either Arabic and or French.
