Chapman Freeborn Airchartering Ltd Hiring for Legal Counsel Job at Dubai Full Time

We are recruiting for a motivated Legal Counsel/Lawyer to join our growing Legal team in Dubai with the aim to continue and enhance the legal support Chapman Freeborn Group and the wider Avia Solutions Group through a stimulating period of growth in the region.

The successful candidate will ideally have 2-5 years experience as an in-house legal counsel (or similar position) and will be looking for a fast-paced role to further professional develop with a niche industry leader and within a large Group of aviation professionals. The successful candidate will be advising amongst other things on corporate, matters and regulatory (state and municipal) affairs and will be working closely with our Dubai team. The aim of this opportunity is to mitigate legal risk and to ensure compliance across all product areas. Due to this, strong corporate and regulatory local experience including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating is essential for the successful candidate to possess. With strong communication skills, fluent Arabic and English speakers are encouraged to apply and previous experience interfacing with state and municipal authorities and organisations are highly desirable attributes to bring to this role.

Purpose of the role

• To minimize the groups legal risk by means of giving legal advice to all relevant stakeholders of the company to ensure that all legal aspects are legally compliant.
• To represent groups interest at state and municipal authorities.

Key Job Responsibilities

Legal Counsel

• Supporting operational teams with legal advice on commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, updating and advising on service agreements (both inward and outward), framework agreements, tender and related agreements having a particular focus on aviation field.

• Administration of documentation (both regulatory and insurance in nature) in line with internal processes and requirements.

• Identifying, monitoring and managing legal risks affecting the groups businesses and advising colleagues on the impact of those risks and measures to mitigate them.

• Supporting the management of legal priorities and objectives within the business.

• Resolve disputes with suppliers and clients and state/municipal institutions where necessary by representing organizations position to the third-party organizations including the court (agreement and enterprise jurisdiction).
