As part of the Fragrances & Beauty Middle East & India Marketing Team, you will report to the Regional Merchandising Manager. You will work closely with Chanel Head Office in Paris, various internal counter parts and local teams in each country. You will contribute to the implementation of the wholesale VM strategy in the Middle-East. Your main mission will be to maximize the brand exposure for each campaign and make sure the CHANEL brand image is respected in all the doors.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Develop regional VM Guidelines for each campaign, select and create local relevant assets, with a focus on UAE
- Coordinate with the suppliers on VM Campaigns production according to the VM Calendar, across a multi-channel distribution landscape, ensure the quality is always as per CHANEL standards, follow-up on invoicing and budgets per lines per markets
- Ensure that VM guidelines are being followed consistently by all stakeholders, following installation timeline with supplier
- Create 3-axis planograms, focusing on make-up challenges
- High-resolution visuals and movies orders and recommendations per campaigns, ensuring all the local team have the needed colorproofs, approved visuals, and movie loops adapted to their markets
- Work closely with the local teams on all their VM needs (visuals, deco elements, shipment…)
- Conduct regular store visits in UAE and other markets to make sure that the brand image is respected in all the distribution landscape and make sure all the needed snags are corrected after the visit
- Provide forecast recommendation for each campaign and update the local team on any changes
- Manage her/his own budgets and prepare budget meetings accordingly
- Create VM reports after each campaign
- Animate the VM Community with various communication tools (newsletters, trainings, key infos to relay…)
- Support the boutiques in their VM needs and the Merchandising Manager on permanent projects
You have a first successful experience in Visual Merchandising or Operational Marketing, preferably in the Middle East. You are very detail-oriented, creative, pro-active, dynamic and most of all very well organized with a capacity to adapt to a fast-moving environment. You have strong communication skills which allow you to build strong relationships within the local teams.
English is a must, French is a plus.
1 year short-term contract based in Dubai.
