YOUR ROLE

Execute the operational & commercial requirements for existing & future clients. This includes export/import air/ocean/ground operations in addition to day-to-day customer-facing duties. Furthermore, the role requires the use of existing business relationships to leverage future business opportunities.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Operational Management

Process all export/import bookings, documentation and dispatch requirements accurately and within agreed timeframes including liaising with carriers for pre bookings and allocations.

Ensure that document processing requirements meet agreed customer service standards.

Ensure that all documentation is filed or scanned as per operational and company requirements.

Ensure all sea freight rates are checked and are accurate at all times

Ensure all entries are done and cleared for export or import.

Monitor the shipments and ensure they are being processed correctly.

Contact shipping companies and obtain rates.

Maintain records of client’s carriers and the rates which have been agreed.

Provide quotes of carrier’s services and rates to prospective clients.

Liaise with other departments as required to develop positive working relationships to ensure compliance and to limit unnecessary delays due to inadequate processes and non-compliance issues

Customer Service

Liaise with Customers directly as required

Act in a professional manner at all times with customers

Manage customer complaints in a manner that provides explanations and puts customer at ease

Administration/Support

Assist with monthly FSL processes and creditor invoices

Ensure the accurate issuing and timely mailing of invoices in accordance with negotiated rates and company procedures

Reconcile sales, deferred payment and other accounts for payment as and when required.

Action all financial related queries immediately and ensure meaningful resolutions to queries

Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

High School Degree or GED required

Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of work experience and completion of the LDP Program

Minimum five years O&G experience

Minimum five years freight forwarding experience preferred

Ability to create/write customer requirements clearly for use by other employees

Demonstrated customer service skills and proven interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational skills

Ability in problem-solving and negotiation

Fluency in English

Customer-service oriented

Ability to exchange complex information

Attention to detail and precision
