Cavendish Maxwell Hiring for Management Accountant Job at Dubai Full Time

We are seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join our finance department to assist the business in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will be responsible for overseeing finance and accounting processes, prepare forecasts, budgets and undertake detailed risk analysis for the business.

Key responsibilities:

Finance and accounting

• Review monthly trial balance and other internal control processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial and management reporting.
• Oversee/establish/maintain all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocations.
• Continually adapt and improve management reports, review and analyse all inputs in the management information pack.
• Produce the monthly management information pack.
• Provide variance analysis and commentary incorporating analytics on the performance.
• Analyse results against targets/KPI’s.
• Engage/manage outside consultants (auditors, corporate secretarial, legal, tax).
• Ensure legal/regulatory compliance.
• Business analysis on specified areas, including routine matters and new projects as directed.
• Co-ordination with department heads to highlight any areas of concern or issues.
• Supervise and ensure compliance of direct and indirect taxes for all group entities.
• Oversee cash flow management/plan.
• Assist with preparation of year end accounts, liaise with auditors as required.
• Prepare annual statutory accounts for various entities, including reconciliation of statutory accounts with management accounts.

Budgeting and forecasting

• Prepare budgets, forecast and rolling business plan.
• Source/review relevant market and economic data for consideration.
• Analyse cost/investment in alignment with company’s objectives.
• Assess organisational and departmental performance.
• Assist in KPI target development.

Financial controls, systems and asset protection

• Assist in tools/systems/architecture development to provide critical/timely financial and operational information.
• Implement and maintain effective risk management procedures.
• Ensure maintenance/communication of appropriate and effective internal controls and policies and procedures.
• Assist in controls and insurance coverage for asset and cash protection.

Requirements:

• Masters’ or Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is essential.
• Professional accounting or finance qualifications such as CA, CIMA, CPA is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience in a similar level role.
• Solid working knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
• Knowledge of international taxation laws and regulations within GCC would be beneficial.
• Good interpersonal skills and an ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Possess good business acumen, ability to adapt, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Proactive and should enjoy working autonomously and as part of a wider team.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to interpret performance data.
• Excellent time management skills with an ability to multi-task across various projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
