MAIN PURPOSE
The Strategic Project Manager is responsible for leading and executing transformative strategic and/or cross-functional projects for Cartier in the United Arab Emirates.

In his/her role, he/she will also provide key market intelligence data – around real estate, macroeconomics, geopolitics, technology, innovation, digital…. – to support the market and channels in identifying and assessing network and business growth opportunities.

He/She will also work closely with the Managing Director on a day-to-day basis and supporting the preparation of the long-term strategic plan. Reading and summarizing key leases and contracts for the Managing Director is also part of the scope.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with the Managing Director on a day-to-day basis:

• Prepare presentations for internal and external audience
• Support the Managing Director by developing in depth ad-hoc analysis
• Supervising daily operations and help oversee projects of high importance
• Acting as the contact person between the company’s top management and employees/stakeholders
• Taking up other responsibilities individually or as directed by the Managing Director

Define Project Scope, Approach And Project Plan

• Define or oversee definition of project plans
• Determine and establish relevant project teams and define roles and responsibilities
• Define the change approach, timescale and communications strategy for successful project implementation and smooth handover to operations
• Ensure that legal and group guidelines and compliance are adhered to

Execute And Monitor Projects

• Define project modus operandi
• Manage project execution as per defined scope, schedule and budget
• Effectively lead in times of delay/crisis and ensure project is back on track
• Where applicable, draw up necessary processes, procedures and policies
• Communicate project progress to stakeholders
• Maintain a project risks register by driving risk identification, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis as well as risk responses definition

Gather Lessons Learned and Track Business Value-Realization Post Implementation

Manage Project Portfolio

• Conduct a monthly review of status of project portfolio
• Accelerate / decelerate projects depending changing priorities due to defined and agreed principles in alignment with all key stakeholders

Market Intelligence

• Support the markets with key market intelligence data – around real estate, macroeconomics, geopolitics, technology, etc. – to support the markets and channels in identifying and assessing network and business growth opportunities
• Support on innovation and digital projects / key collaborations the market could activate with public or private institutions to lead transformative change
• Support in the coordination of projects’ legal reviews in collaboration with the Strategic Projects and Market Intelligence Manager. This includes:
  • Review LOIs, lease agreements, contracts with markets and advise accordingly
  • Be the point of contact for legal for all contractual matters related to real-estate

Desired Skills and Experience

PROFILE
Education

• Degree in Business Management, Business Development, Finance or Economics, or any related field.

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in business analysis and project management in a large international company
• PMP or similar project management certification a plus

Technical Skills

• Self-motivated and proactive
• Resourceful: Optimizes available resources, navigates obstacles and constraints and knows where and who to go to for help
• Experience in managing complex projects and cross-functional project teams
• Extensive experience in conducting business workshops and requirements definition sessions, as well as designing business processes
• Good analytical / problem-solving skills
• Strong business acumen
• Fluent in English; Arabic and/or French is a plus
