E-Com Project Manager – MEIA

MAIN PURPOSE

The E-Commerce Project Manager will be responsible for leading and executing the launch of new ecommerce websites for Cartier in Middle East, India and Africa (MEIA) region. He/She will play a key role in the definition and implementation of the ecommerce models in the new markets as part of the MEIA Regional E-commerce Team. He/She will report directly to the E-Commerce Manager – MEIA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Market assessments:

• Identify and draft requirements in each market
  • Define business operating model
  • Determine and establish relevant project teams and define roles and responsibilities
  • Define the change approach, timescale and communications strategy for successful project implementation and smooth handover to operations.
  • Ensure that legal and group guidelines and compliance are adhered to.

Project Management:

• Define project scope, approach and project plan:
  • Define or oversee definition of project plans.
  • Determine and establish relevant project teams and define roles and responsibilities
  • Define the change approach, timescale and communications strategy for successful project implementation and smooth handover to operations.
  • Ensure that legal and group guidelines and compliance are adhered to.

• Execute and monitor projects:
  • Manage project execution as per defined scope, schedule and budget.
  • Effectively lead in times of delay/crisis and ensure project is back on track.
  • Where applicable, draw up necessary processes, procedures and policies.
  • Support with user testing of sites or any new features and flows on live websites.
  • Communicate project progress to stakeholders.

• Manage project portfolio:
  • Conduct a monthly review of status of project portfolio.
  • Accelerate / decelerate projects depending changing priorities due to defined and agreed principles in alignment with all key stakeholders

Required experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years in Retail eCommerce, digital business
• Previous experience in Business analysis and project management
• Proven ability to manage ecommerce launch projects in an omnichannel ecosystem, meet deadlines and delivering multiple objectives at the same time
• Hands-on experience in a major eCommerce platform like Salesforce Commerce Cloud
• A strong understanding of current technologies and standards and how the digital ecosystem is evolving

Skills / abilities:

• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve technical and business problems
• Experience in managing complex projects and cross-functional project teams
• Extensive experience in conducting business workshops and requirements definition sessions, as well as designing business processes
• Excellent organizational skills and decision making
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with ability to influence a range of stakeholders
• Good analytical / problem-solving skills
• Highly organized, proactive, resourceful and motivated – with a positive attitude

• Proficiency in English; Arabic and/or French is a plus
