Boutique Director

The Boutique Director will lead a large, multi-cultural team to provide clients with exceptional and unique experiences by ensuring excellence in Boutique operations and client service. Besides achieving the Boutique KPIs in terms of performance and profitability, the Boutique Director will act as a true ambassador of the Maison, with clients and partners as well as with team members and peers. The Boutique Director will work closely with local HQ to propose and implement new initiatives to animate the Boutique throughout the year.

Holding a true managerial role, he/she will be managing several departments in a complex and ever-changing environment.

YOUR MISSION:

• Drive & Grow to full potential the commercial & operational performance of the Boutique
• Actively collaborate with the different departments at local HQ level to adapt the strategy of the Maison to the flagship level Accountable for challenging a dedicated management team in the boutique to define and communicate clear action plans, to achieve the set ambitions defined hand in hand with the Retail Management
• Oversee all commercial activities and sales achievements of the boutique and monitor daily / weekly / monthly major retail KPIs to drive the business and implement actions to achieve them
• Oversee all High-End activities and High-End sales achievements of the boutique (High-End Temple)
• Responsible to define a clear High-End action plan to achieve ambition based on solid performance, environment, and competencies analysis
• In charge of bringing insights on competitive high-End market, and adjust strategy and action plans accordingly
• Responsible to find ways to optimize client waiting time, improve client facing time and qualities of interactions with end-clients along with the dedicated management team in the boutique
• Assess local market opportunities to implement a proactive and effective sales strategy
• Manage the operational costs of the P&L of the boutique in collaboration with finance and the retail team (T&Es, level of discounts & gratuity, selling costs)
• Accountable for bringing innovative KPI’s to optimize the boutique performance
• Responsible to keep the High-End community KPI’s up to date and creative
• Provide inspirational and motivational leadership, giving vision and clarity to the team, and sharing the strategy of the Maison as well as the objectives and priorities for the boutique
• Translate the Boutique vision into individual objectives establishing clear priorities, KPIs and deadlines for each department
• Manage & lead a set of Deputies who themselves manage all team members related to their specialties (Sales, Client & Operations)
• Manage and animate an agile organization of the boutique, in close collaboration with local HQ, to ensure the highest level of performance
• Identify high potentials with the support of the Deputies, ensuring a singular and adapted development plan is curated & communicated accordingly
• Actively source candidates & maintain a pool of talents through candidates
• Show consistent and active managerial presence on the sales floor, modelling exceptional service and ensuring all team members embody the Cartier spirit
• Display strong coaching abilities, discussing, leading, enabling, challenging and promoting High-End knowledge – Act as an inclusive leader to ensure every team member is respected and has a voice
• Lead the performance management process through regularly scheduled individual meetings including annual performance reviews, career committee, Individual Development Plan
• Create a positive and productive boutique environment by leveraging both personal and team savoir-faire to create a highly collaborative network at all times
• Uphold the Cartier standards with ability to project an approachable and professional image in personal appearance, manner, and demeanour
• Represent the Maison at meetings, events (local & international), charity dinners and other work related functions
• Be the ambassador and key contact person for all interactions with the Group and International HQ (to present the boutique, organize visits and events…)
• Uphold boutique image by ensuring a perfect implementation of the Maison image guidelines (VM, grooming…) and monitoring the boutique maintenance Infuse a client-centric approach and promote proactive clienteling practices
• Ensure a best-in-class client experience by ensuring an excellent client service within a highly digitalized environment
• Develop action plans to leverage clienteling opportunities with local relevant communities and develop partnerships with commercial third parties
• Build a yearly plan to animate the boutique and propose personalized client’s experiences to our different audiences to reinforce loyalty and generate business
• Oversee & participate in the different events organized hand in hand with local HQ – Orchestrate top class concierge & in-store hospitality Services
• In collaboration with the boutique management team, drive and monitor all CRM and clienteling initiatives
• Support & guide team members in managing their VIP& VIP clients
• Lead & promote networking activities within the team Supervise Operations and assess Boutique flows
• Develop clear actions to constantly improve the overall boutique operations & flows
• Ensure all Maison policies, procedures and guidelines are respected
• Manage inventory control processes & ensure overall successful boutique audits
• Partner with merchandising team to ensure proper level of stocks to support boutique sales
• Drive the changes and ensure adoption of new tools & Services
• Oversee security of the team & orchestrate action on safety measures as needed

YOUR PROFILE:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Retail Management from the Luxury industry
• Previous Experience in managing large team
• International background and/or experience is a plus
• Excellent analytical skills and understanding of retail productivity levers
• Fluent in English. Additional language is a plus
• Solid digital skills and interest in new technologies and media
• Strong leadership and managerial skills to organize, animate and grow a large team with genuine values of inclusivity and trust
• Excellent interpersonal skills to handle both internal, transversal and external stakeholders (staff, partners, clients and colleagues)
• Solid organizational skills to manage a complex environment towards high performance ambition
