Assists the finance and accounting department-Accounts receivable with billing, tracking and collections of accounts due and reconciling conflicts. Determines reason for customer payment delinquency and obtains commitment

• Receiving and processing payments in accordance with established methods and procedures.
• Maintaining accurate and thorough records of payment history and status of accounts.
• Working with partners to facilitate payments and reconcile any differences or conflicts.
• Recognizing calls requiring special handling or customized responses and escalating accordingly.
• To apply effective credit control and risk management for the partner portfolio
• To maintain regular contact with partners to follow-up on overdue invoices, payment deductions, pending disputes, and payment commitments such as LC opening and bank guarantee renewal/increases.
• To ensure credit limits are implemented and play a proactive role in opening discussion with sales to change credit limits as required.
• To support in month-end closing and meet the deadlines

What we ask

• Practical “hands-on” exposure to an environment with a high volume of customers within Africa (essential)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Finance or an equivalent qualification (essential)
• Strong organizational skills when dealing with large amounts of data (essential)
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles (essential)
• Fluency in written and spoken English and French (essential)
• High level of written and spoken communications (essential)
• Professional appearance, attitude, and communication style (essential)
