About the job Logistics Coordinator
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
- Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
- Utilize logistics IT to optimize shipping and transport procedures
- Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements
- Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs
- Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
- Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
- Keep Statistical logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders, pending orders, orders to place etc.
- Prepare accurate reports for upper management
- Keeping a log of all price trends and vendor communication history
- Prepare timely activity reports for upper management
- Quality control & inspection management with the vendors.
- Travel to ensure efficient processes and control of the supply chain and quality control for all orders.
- Liaison with the inspection companies to ensure the inspection norms and regulatory compliances must be adhered to.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years proven experience as logistics coordinator
- Ability to create strong vendor relations
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements to ensure all logistical measures being followed
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- BSc/BA in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field
