The ideal candidate for the role at Cafe Kangla should have a passion and dedication to creating amazing dishes. We are looking for an experienced chef who is creative, knowledgeable, and able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
The successful candidate will possess excellent culinary skills, having experience with a variety of cooking techniques and equipment. They must also be able to read recipes, create menus, manage food distribution, create food costing, manage inventory every week and adapt recipes to accommodate dietary needs or special requests.
The ideal candidate will also have leadership skills and be comfortable working with front of house staff to ensure guests receive the best possible culinary experience. They must have exceptional organizational skills, time management abilities, and excellent communication skills in order to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
1. Experienced chef with a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in South Indian cuisine.
2. Exemplary customer service and organizational skills.
3. High level of creativity and the ability to develop unique recipes.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
5. Good understanding of food safety guidelines, kitchen equipment usage & sanitation processes.
