Job description

The successful candidate will be involved managing the following project tasks:

• Produce / Develop / Communicate project procurement strategy
• Develop work package procurement timescales
• Define supply chain evaluation methods
• Assess procurement risks and opportunities
• Identify products & services as high, medium or low risks
• Define individual work package strategies and appropriate sourcing route
• Utilize central frameworks and group leverage

You will be managing the procurement plan to include:

• Preparing consultation with the team
• Carry out regular procurement progress review meeting

You will manage tender lists & prequalification:

• Capture input from the whole project team
• Produce Preliminary Tender Lists for each work package
• Carry out tender list Evaluation & Pre-qualification
• Carry out supply chain interviews, visits etc.
• Produce recommendation of companies for the Final tender List.

You will manager tender documents & tender period:

• Produce project master & specific work package
• Develop work package scopes and deliverables with the team
• Manage document production to procurement programme
• Conduct Pre-Tender interviews where required
• Tender Query, Addendum, Return
• Conduct Mid-Tender interviews where required
• Tender opening Meeting and report where required

You will manage tender appraisals

• Carry out / manage team input to Technical, Commercial, Construction appraisals
• Carry out Post Tender Meeting
• Close out queries

You will be involved with recommendation & approval

• Produce formal recommendation – Detailed record of Pre-qualification, mid tender interviews, tenders received, post tender meetings, insurances, terms and conditions, programme & milestone dates, financial status, cost plan comparison. Obtain Internal and external approval where required.

You will be involved in awarding contract formalities

• Execution of sub-contracts in advance of commencement
• Performance Bonds, PCG’s and Collateral Warranties as required.
