Bright Environment LLC Hiring for Furniture & Interior Carpenters Job at Dubai Full Time

We are looking for Furniture & Interior Carpenters with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail and generally entails designing, building, and repairing various types of furniture such as wooden chairs, shelves, and drawers. The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products.

As part of their duties, furniture carpenters provide cost estimate of raw materials required for a project. They have the discretion of selecting suitable materials needed for the crafting of furniture. Usually, furniture carpenters work indoors to create customized woodworks that serve as an integral part of a furniture. They are responsible for the repair of furniture and wood fixtures, ranging from stairs, desks, and doors. They carry out smoothening of surfaces, application of varnishing/staining materials, replacement of wooden flooring and various other activities to ensure an even wood surface.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out planning and survey to identify and implement of trending styles and ideas in construction
• Interact with clients to obtain information as regards their specification and preferences for a project
• Proffer recommendation on appropriate furniture designs and styles, considering costs and choice
• Provide cost estimate of materials required for the construction of wooden fixture
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Cut and shape wood materials to obtain components for a furniture unit.
• Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
• Lay out floorings, roofing’s or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
• They are responsible for the repair of furniture and wood fixtures, ranging from stairs, desks, and doors.
• Carry out smoothening of surfaces, application of varnishing/staining materials, replacement of wooden flooring and various other activities to ensure an even wood surface.
• Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as carpenter
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials

• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
• Good knowledge of English
• Good understanding of basic math
• Good physical condition and endurance
• High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required
