The Boeing Company (“Boeing”) is seeking an experienced paralegal/ legal professional to support its legal operations as part of Boeing’s Global Law Affairs group. The Paralegal will report to and work directly with the Business Manager for the Boeing Law Department, Boeing Regional Counsel for Middle East, Africa & Turkey (MEA) and Country Counsel for Saudi Arabia, and collaborate with a variety of Law Department attorneys and staff in regard to particular business unit or functional matters. The position is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and has the following responsibilities
Position Responsibilities:
Business Support. Under the supervision of Regional and Country Counsel, provide broad-ranging legal support to the Boeing businesses in the region, particularly assisting with legal advice on contractual negotiations and disputes.
Corporate. Support MEA transactions and assist with annual training for the Boeing business units, including the JVs in Saudi Arabia. Draft corporate governance documents, including board resolutions and power of attorneys, and assist with licensing and renewal activities of the various Boeing entities in the region.
Special Projects. Work with the Regional and Country Counsel on special projects to improve the efficiency and responsiveness of the Law Department in the region, with demonstrated ability to be flexible, adaptable, and drive projects to completion.
Research. Provide timely and targeted legal and factual research and analysis, with expertise in Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw and other legal research engines as appropriate, including research on laws in the MEA region.
Regulatory. Review and develop understanding of the various regional regulatory regimes that will have an impact on the company. Understand and be able to communicate local regulations as well as internal procedures associated with the giving and accepting of gifts and gratuities to commercial and government persons. File documents or make inquiries with local agencies and draft documentation to support legal requirements.
OBIP. Review and draft analysis in support of legal and entity guidance for business opportunities in the One Boeing International Process (OBIP).
Records. Maintain and file corporate documents, contracts, agreements, correspondence, training materials and presentations using accepted legal office practices and company record keeping systems and procedures;
Drafting and Review. Draft, review, collect, and organize training materials, presentations, general commercial contracts, letters, memoranda and other written communications and agreements. Understand Boeing’s form contracts and local market requirements.
Outside Counsel. Assist with the management of outside counsel, including compliance with the internal procedures necessary for their engagement, instruction, and payment. Process invoices, track department budgets and generate reports using spreadsheets and internal legal matter management system.
Admin. Support. Coordinate and process domestic and international business travel arrangements and generate expense reports; verbally and electronically communicate a wide variety of information to multiple audiences; support with incoming and outgoing calls, messages and correspondence; manage attorney calendars, coordinate meetings and teleconferences; other responsibilities as determined by managers.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
2+ years’ experience as a paralegal/ legal professional with an international company or law firm
Minimum education requirements include an undergraduate legal degree or higher non-legal degree
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills; able to prioritize activities and perform multiple tasks while maintaining quality, speed, and accuracy; and have a demonstrated ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, including coordination with colleagues and clients in multiple time zones
Ability to clearly communicate requirements, expectations and deadlines, asking questions to obtain and share relevant information
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Fluency in Arabic is preferred but not essential
Advanced law degree preferred

Minimum education requirements include an undergraduate legal degree or higher non-legal degree
