Key Responsibilities

• Clearly articulate technical capabilities and give technical demonstrations.
• Find and maintain prospective clients.
• Provide general technical support to clients.
• Generate leads.
• Meet senior client personnel.
• Gather client intelligence and market intelligence.
• Ability to sense in change in customer requirement, technology and the market requirement.
• Qualify potential clients and understand their techno-commercial requirements & needs comprehensively.
• Monitoring activities and reporting on existing sales prospects and next steps to close the sales.
• Networking with key influencers in the market, build new relations and nurture existing relations.
• traveling and attending exhibitions to establish strategic relationships with clients & suppliers.
• Handle commercial and technical negotiations with clients.
• Identify clients decision-making process and the key stakeholders who will be involved in awarding ship building projects.
• Co-ordinate with engineering and other departments with-in the company to support the sales function.
• Proactively pursue new business and sales opportunities
• Always identify new markets and new clients.
• Be a brand ambassador and reflect company values at all times.

Required Skills:

• A university degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum 10 years with at least 5 years’ experience as a sales manager in a leading shipbuilding company with a proven track record of achieving sales target.
• Must be a strong communicator in English.
• Must be dynamic and ambitious.
• Able to discuss highly technical concepts with prospective leads.
• Willingness to travel.
• Able to influence and persuade.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker in the means of making decisions that are long terms based to achieve sustainable results.
• Passionate about networking and meeting people for business.
• Honest and trustworthy.
• A proven and successful track record in (technical) Sales, preferably with an international scope.
• Should possess Technical and Commercial knowledge
• Ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
• Strong business sense and industry expertise
