Biogen Hiring for Business Strategy and Transformation Lead (Middle East, Africa, Russia & CIS and Turkey) Job at Dubai

The successful candidate will be part of the MART Leadership Team and will be responsible for managing the strategic business initiatives and driving projects initiatives across this region in partnership with Commercial, Medical and Market Access Leadership Teams. The role reports to the VP Head of MART and will be based in our Biogen Dubai Office.

Main responsibilities

Strategy

• Overseeing strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution in close coordination with senior leadership and departmental heads
• Working closely with Area Head, GMs and Bus. Ops Teams to identify growth and investment opportunities across affiliates and partner markets
• Taking a lead role in driving large projects within the business
• Providing support and oversight for special projects and initiatives
• Coordinating MART Geographic Expansion projects & Own the analysis and planning phases for expansion markets
• Co-own LRP (Long range planning) and AOP (Annual operational planning) processes with the regional CFO

Governance

• In charge of MART LT Governance and decision-making architecture
• Participating in key decision-making meetings and responsible for tracking outcomes and deliverables, and following up on outstanding items
• Synthesizing information for the Head of MART and the MART LT, in a succinct format, enabling Head of MART to quickly assess business opportunities and potential issues
• Assisting the leadership team members to determine and prioritize business strategies according to MART priorities
• Being in charge of Area’s Scorecard monitoring, working with leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards goals
• Handling projects governance, cross functional risk management, escalation, and decision-making processes

Communication

• Optimizing communication and alignment, and ensure mutual understanding across LT members and between Area Heads in Biogen Intercontinental and MART LT. Providing tactical support to LT Members to implement ideas
• Shaping interactions with Biogen Intercontinental and Corporate stakeholders, coordinate key communication & decision points
• Being exposed to LT Members of the Area and the Region, with the opportunity to learn from their strengths and developmental areas
• Planning, coordinating and leading meetings and workshops
• Preparing critical meeting agendas and synthesizing pre-meeting materials

• 10 plus years in pharmaceutical industry, having held leadership roles
• Strong understanding of commercial business aspects (sales planning/ execution, market access, patient advocacy, regulatory , reimbursement etc) and setting strategic directions to drive commercial success
• Significant experience and track record of success in working in a cross-functional team in matrixed, complex organizations (e.g. marketing, medical, operations, market access, regulatory, supply chain, compliance, ) and work with a distributor market model
• Experience with senior level leadership (external/internal) with the ability to influence
• Strong work ethics and compliance standards
• Fluent in English, other languages are preferable
