The Role:

• The Associate Manager, FP&A provides business financial analysis and recommendations by working closely with the Global Export Markets (GEM) ASIA Finance Controller and globally the GEM teams to ensure the execution of business objectives in terms of revenue generation, profitability, and overall strategy. This role will ensure sound business analysis of GEM ASIA commercial strategy and investment propositions, driving creation of robust business models, providing transparent reporting of actual and forecasted business performance.
• She/he must keep up with a material volume of information, often tracked in complex spreadsheets, thus requiring discipline and methodology. Effective communication skills are crucial as she/he must be able to relay difficult, dense information to upper management in a precise and easy-to-understand way.
• The Associate Manager, FP&A will also undertake special projects (RGM, ….) and ad-hoc reporting and analysis serving Operational Excellence as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the timely, accurate and complete reporting of Actuals and Forecasts
• Act as a trusted business partner to senior leadership and create an environment to both challenge and support operations team members with sound financial guidance and strategic insight.
• Supporting, coordinating, and consolidating the annual budgets and rolling forecasts, in conjunction with GEM ASIA General Manager, GEM FP&A Manager, Sales/Marketing teams and local/HQ finance teams including assumptions validation
• Coordinating, consolidation and interpreting of monthly financial reporting as well as financial performance vs expectations; including drivers of variances, business insights, corrective actions and recommendations for decision making
• Preparation of insight and actions reporting for GEM HQ: PVM, ASP & GP analysis/KPIs
• Weekly, monthly sales reporting
• Providing all operating departments with the necessary financial analysis and information
• Active contribution to continuous financial reporting process improvements
• Gain country/continent operational knowledge to act as a business partner
• Ensure pricing implementation in coordination with sales and marketing
• Track SKUS profitability and drive improvement plans in coordination with marketing team
• Support marketing team on price and profitability analysis
• Manage spent tracking for brand support, back margin and operating costs
• Manage and review of costing for monthly reporting and forecast exercises
• Ensure rolling forecast and operational plans preparation and deliverables supporting GEMASIA Finance controller
• Ensure coordination with accounting team in preparation of monthly reporting
• Track group financial KPIs to ensure growth
• Provide back up and strong support to GEM FP&A Associate Manger.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

• Monthly reporting and forecasting exercise within set deadlines
• Respect of GEM & Group deadlines for the month end close process
• Seamless communication with the different business partners
• Cost submission and control on timely manner
• Tracking and review of budget vs actual
• Up to date follow up of spent tracking
• KPIS review and action plan (trade effectiveness, productivity, GP improvement…)
• Forecast accuracy on operating costs and sales in line with region growth strategy

Simple Criteria

• R – Master’s degree in Finance or business administration
• R – 2-3 years relevant experience in financial analysis, commercial control, pricing and costing in an international company and exposure to operations.
• R – Fluent in English, People Oriented, Proactive
• R – Exposure and interest to ERP and comfortable with IT
• D – JDE, COGNOS & HFM knowledge is a plus

Complex Criteria

• R – Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting, Business Analysis, Business Support knowledge
• R – Experience in statutory consolidation (Knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS)
• R – Advanced Computer Literacy in MS Office particularly Excel
• R – Understanding of Financial Systems

Additional Information

• The candidate will be joining a Fast-Growing area, with newly implemented Finance Department
• With Manager support, they will be working on the business’ specific needs assessment and strategic roadmap, integrating / mapping disparate legacy systems and reengineered business processes, (overall systems design, risk and security design, data, and information cleansing, financial close, consolidation, reporting processes, Tax, etc.)
• The candidate is expected to have a good understanding of all aspects of the Finance function, accounting acumen — and IT sensitivity
