Senior Manager- Finance

Your Role

You will be responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting and developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures, IFRS/local GAAP standards, local Tax/legal regulations, statutory/financial requirements, and business partner with all internal functions for key projects rolled out across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounting:

• Ensure accurate and timely capture of receivable and application of collection to minimize exposure of credit risk to Beond.
• Oversee frequent MIS reporting delivery and liaise with reporting/financial systems teams to develop/design reporting tools which will support/facilitate commercial in taking strategic decisions.
• Manage the accounting operations to ensure accuracy, transparency, timeliness, and compliance covering all the functional areas of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset Budgeting, for Station & Holidays.
• Ensure a solid control environment that comply with the corporate governance structure, Contracts Manual/Standard operating procedure and Manual of Authority issued by the Company. Offices must meet the requirements of both internal, external and government auditors.
• Implement policies and procedures and direct the accounting reviews and process re-engineering to optimize operations and thereby achieve cost savings, set up modern accounting systems and establish a business support function based on the best industrial practices.
• Liaise with service provider to ensure timely delivery of reporting requirements.
• Ensure the company assets at stations are safeguarded from all aspects including the insurance in liaison with Insurance department in HO
• Ensure Travel Agents/commercial team understands and are familiar with the application of all commercial deals and incentive settlements. Misuse of policy monitored and controlled.
• Support and manage annual budget preparation of station. Carryout a detailed monthly analysis of actual expenditures Vs Budget. Fully involve in the station commercial budget preparation and month to month performance analysis.
• Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions

TAX:

• 
  Minimize legally required taxes by studying regulations, presenting tax strategies to management, and filing returns.
• Oversee Tax for the group (Including & Maldives)
• 
  Oversee Direct, Indirect and International taxation
• 
  Responsible for tax planning and leading/coaching an existing tax team
• 
  Responsible for laying down the tax frameworks
• 
  Develop and implement tax strategy and business partner with other departments to ensure alignment
• 
  Implementation of Corporate tax in UAE & Maldives
• 
  Drive all Tax, Transfer pricing and Economic substance submissions
• 
  Responsible for accurate and timely submission of local taxes
• 
  Perform internal spot audits and take appropriate action if any identified violations.
• 
  Work closely with internal and external auditors to facilitate regular and exceptional audit review. Comment and implement audit recommendations. Define and implement adequate systems to discharge above accountabilities effectively.

Your Profile:

Ideally, you have

• A university degree in accounting or finance
• Professional Qualification in Finance such as ACA / ACCA / CPA / AICWA/ CIMA etc will be an added advantage
• High computer literacy (including MS Word/Excel skills/Accounting software)
• Extensive accounting knowledge.
• Good working knowledge of the Aviation industry and specific accounting practices.
• Skills in making presentations and managing meetings.
• At least 10 years core accounting and tax experience at managerial level, preferably in an airline in which minimum of 2 years’ experience should be in UAE.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for the management of accounting team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting
