Summary: The cashier will make use of technical and financial skills to track and manage
patient cash flows, credit, and insurance payments, while also assisting reception staff with
patient booking and in-clinic coordination.
Necessary Qualifications:
- Strong math and computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high stress environment
- Experience in healthcare billing preferred
- Very strong written and oral communication skills
§ Process transactions to the cash register by effectively and efficiently handling cash/ credit card/ Transfer payments.
§ Manage daily balancing and reconciling of cash accounts and handle daily bank deposits.
§ Document bank transactions by processing checks and online deposits in a proactive manner.
§ Record income and other activities into the hospital management systems properly.
§ Post payments to appropriate accounts and maintain logs of daily receipts.
§ Maintain petty cash logs, receipts, and balances.
§ Coordinate activities with the accounting department to ensure the creation of daily, weekly and monthly reports.
§ Assist at the front desk in handling patient admissions and provision of information to patients, families, and visitors.

§ Assist receptionist with patient coordination; schedule follow-up visits and answer calls/books appointments as necessary
