Job Summary:A Bar Support Specialist plays an essential role within the bar team, assisting bartenders to ensure seamless and efficient bar operations. This position involves maintaining a clean and organized bar area, managing supplies, and contributing to outstanding customer service.Key Responsibilities:Supply Management:Ensure the bar is adequately stocked with all essential items, including glassware, ice, garnishes, and spirits.Restock beverages and other supplies as required throughout the shift.Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages to the Bar Manager.Bar Upkeep:Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar, including washing and polishing glassware, cleaning spills, and disposing of waste.Regularly clean and sanitize bar surfaces, tools, and equipment.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all bar areas.Customer Service Assistance:Support bartenders in drink preparation during peak times.Deliver beverages and snacks to patrons as needed.Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to ensure a positive experience.Preparation and Setup:Assist in preparing the bar for opening, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for service.Prepare garnishes, stock ice bins, and refill napkin dispensers.Help with closing duties to ensure the bar is ready for the next shift.Additional Duties:Perform other tasks as requested by bartenders or management.Assist with inventory checks and ordering processes.Support special events and promotions as needed.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Prior experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.Knowledge of bar operations and mixology is a plus.Working Conditions:Fast-paced, high-energy environment.Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.Ability to manage the physical demands of the role, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
