Job Purpose:Overseeing and optimizing operational efficiency and business growth by managing various departments, handling customer service issues, and developing supplier and business relationships. Key responsibilities include setting pricing strategies, negotiating rates, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures. The role also entails reporting to the Head of DWC, addressing customer complaints, and monitoring financial performance to support the company’s strategic objectives and enhance overall operational effectiveness.Key responsibilities:Strategy & PlanningParticipate in the development of the section’s business plans according to the department objectives. Manage the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices considering leading standards, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.Performance ManagementEnsure that all section reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet Bahri’s requirements, policies, and quality standardsPeople & LeadershipAchieve the assigned objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, and developing and motivating staff.Budgeting & financial planningRecommend the budget required from the section and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring unit activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.Policies & ProceduresEnsure the effective implementation of policies, procedures, and controls covering all areas of assigned activities.Function responsibilitiesProvide comprehensive updates and insights on daily operational activities, performance metrics, and any issues to the DWC Branch Manager, ensuring they are informed for strategic decision-making.Oversee the functioning of customer service, operations, and administrative departments to ensure seamless coordination and efficient performance across these key areas.Build and nurture relationships with current and potential suppliers, and liaise with agency networks and representative companies to identify and pursue new business development opportunities.Set competitive pricing strategies for services and negotiate favorable rates with service providers to optimize cost efficiency and profitability.Handle and resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and improve service quality.Lead weekly meetings to review outstanding debts, ensure timely collection, and work with the accounts team to analyze financial statements and address any financial discrepancies or concerns.Establish appropriate selling rates for existing key customers and new clients based on market conditions, customer requirements, and company pricing strategies.Participate in business development discussions with international agents, prepare and send quotations for various inquiries and exhibitions, manage project cargo handling, and oversee sea-air cross-trade shipments.Conduct negotiations with shipping lines, agents, and airlines to secure favorable freight rates, ensuring cost-effective transportation solutions for the company.Oversee and review operational processes and documentation through the internal information system to ensure adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain operational standards.Qualification and Experience:Preferable Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, transportation, Logistics , Industrial Engineering or Business Administration10 years of experience in required field. Minimum 3-5 years in a managerial role
