WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will be part of the regional management team, responsible for strategy, tactics and execution in the business unit Middle East & Africa (MEA). You will work in close collaboration with your management team and the rest of the managers, taking part in business discussion, acting as their HR Business Partner and translating decisions into HR activities. This role reports to Regional Director MEA and have a dotted line to HR Director – EMEA.
The role is broad and you are expected to support the business unit with the full HR spectra, supported by an HR Generalist, Recruitment Specialist and the extended HR community in the head region Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
As HR Manager your job is also to secure HR compliance in all countries within your region. Enabling us to run our business in a professional and correct way. This means, amongst other things, to ensure appropriate knowledge, visibility and fulfilment of policy, processes, laws and regulations connected to labour code, work environment code, compensation & benefits, privacy and safety.

Apart from above you are also expected to:
  • Together with the management team, work with and ensure that Axis core values are alive in the region.
  • Together with the Finance Manager, organise the payroll and core business operations set-up, supporting a smooth running of procedures.
  • Support Regional Director and management team in communication and change management activities.
  • Be responsible for identity, worker data and worker lifecycle management for all staff based in your region.
  • People manager for 1 employee.
This job involves traveling within Europe Middle East & Africa.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a pro-active and goal-oriented HR professional, motivated by working in a broad international HR role, supporting a relatively small but growing business unit (approx. 60 employees today). As we are looking to expand our footprint and employee population in the region it’s important for us to have an HR Manager that leans forwards, sees opportunities and can act fast to get things done.
We believe that you have several years of experience from an HR Business Partner role with solid understanding of core HR competence areas such as People attraction, Learning & Development and Compensation & benefits. Knowledge and experience of change management is also a prioritized competence.
You have strong leadership skills and the ability to lead internal and external stakeholders, work as a trusted advisor and challenge opinions, perspectives, and approaches. You will be involved in driving strategic decisions, tactical planning, and operational execution. It’s important to have the ability to shift between these work tasks and organise operational and standardised work so it is efficient, scalable, and predictable.

  • A university degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • UAE labor law knowledge and hands on experience from “running” HR set-ups in more than one country.
  • High level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence
  • Integrity
  • Fast paced and flexible mindset.
  • Structured and organized approach.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to get people on-board and engaged.
  • Technology driven approach, interest and ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English and possible other key languages relevant to the position.
