We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced MEP Draftsman

Position Overview

As a Drafter, you will facilitate customer needs into operative and realistic plans. You will be collaborating across multiple teams to assure requirements are captured in the MEP shop drawings and the design is finalized on time. You will be reporting directly to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

The individual will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Carry out drafting activities based on design inputs provided by Design Engineers.
• Prepare HVA/C system layouts, Plumbing and electrical layouts, detailed drawings, production /construction drawings, and MTOs/ bill of quantities.
• Prepare heat load calculations, UV calculations and electrical load calculations
• Carry out site measurements for preparation of drawings and incorporating changes and comments.
• Liaise with other design/ drafting personnel to identify/ incorporate interfaces.
• Raise Material requisitions and Purchase Requisitions for the materials to be procured for Engineering jobs.
• Follow DDW-D and Project specific drawing and document control procedures.
• Ensure comments/ changes are properly tracked and incorporated.
• Store/ file drawings and documents in order as per the relevant procedure.
• Support procurement and fabrication/ construction activities, keep track of redline mark-ups, as-built documentation, etc.
• Follow the day-to-day operations related to your own job to ensure continuity of work.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Have a High School Diploma or Associate degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years of drafting experience.
• Experience in Fit-out works is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge in AutoCAD and Drafting Tools, MS Office.
• Knowledge in Drafting software mainly Auto CAD.
• Knowledge of MS Office such as Word and Excel.
• Knowledge and experience in restaurant interiors
• Ability to read, interpret and follow method statements and procedures, specifications, drawings, and other discipline-related project and engineering documentation.
• Good communication skills in written and spoken English, both internal and with clients, and have the ability to participate in the design process from project inception through completion.

Salary: From AED1.00 per month
