About the Role – Head of Learning Design & Academy, Middle East

The Academy aims to foster a community of changemakers and accompany them on the journey of becoming better leaders, facilitators, and designers through a series of programs, workshops, resources, and events.
To uphold this mission and to carefully foster our learning design practice further, we are looking for a highly passionate and experienced Head of Learning Design and Academy to take on this critical leadership role and bring this vision to life in the Middle East.
Main Responsibilities
Market Leadership & Business Development
You will grow the ATÖLYE Academy brand and business in the Middle East market by developing and executing a solid go-to-market strategy. You will proactively seek new business opportunities and clients in the private and public sectors.
You will collaborate with other ATÖLYE leaders to maintain a strong pipeline of new projects and also partner with other kyu Collective members when necessary to collectively win new projects.
You will oversee proposal development and budgeting for new project opportunities.
You will follow the latest trends in the relevant fields and translate them into actionable insights for ATÖLYE Academy’s go-to-market strategy.
Project & Account Direction
You will manage and maintain high-level client and stakeholder relationships and grow accounts.
You will direct and guide end-to-end engagement with clients, starting from the initial conversation, leading to the proposal development, to delivery and growing relationships.
You will lead presentations and discussions with clients while conveying and justifying design decisions eloquently.
You will ensure quality in everything you and your project team deliver.
You will maintain a pool of freelance collaborators for ATÖLYE Academy projects.
Thought & Craft Leadership
You will ensure ATÖLYE Academy’s thought leadership in the fields of leadership development, organizational transformation, and education in the regional context.
You will coordinate, develop and release thought leadership pieces in collaboration with the Communications team; these could come in the form of podcasts, videos, social media blurbs, short thought pieces, longer-form articles, etc.
You will organize, promote, and sell B2C workshops in collaboration with ATÖLYE Academy’s global partners (2-3 workshops annually)
You will curate an events calendar to be held at ATÖLYE’s Dubai hub. This role is expected to lead the event’s content, host and facilitate, work with Community and Communications teams to attract potential clients and partners to build long term relationships.
In collaboration with the Communications team, you will explore opportunities to increase ATÖLYE Academy’s visibility by participating at regional and international events as a speaker.
Requirements
10-14 years of full-time work experience (at least 5+ years in a leadership role) ideally in a client services organization (relevant fields might include leadership development, creative consultancy, strategic design, organizational development, and education)
Competence in design thinking, learning experience design, innovation methodologies, and facilitation.
Demonstrated experience in directing and delivering highly complex projects while ensuring both team and client satisfaction. Proven track record of managing high-performing teams and delivering impactful results.
Ability to design, facilitate and deliver transformative learning journeys for groups of senior leaders or top-level executives. Ability to facilitate strategy, innovation and design workshops with senior client teams.
Expertise and knowledge of the key trends in the K12 education sector with the lens of holistic human development.
Business development experience that has generated funding and revenue
Advanced proficiency in English. Fluency in Arabic is a plus.

The regular office location for this position is ATÖLYE’s Dubai’s space in the Emirates Towers. For this role specifically, travel and site visits to potential clients is required.
