The successful candidate will work as part of a fast-paced Planning and Urban Design team providing specialist GIS support to a broad range of projects across the Middle East.

Essential Requirements

• A degree qualification in GIS or a related field.

• Experience using ESRI ArcGIS – minimum 10

• ESRI ArcGIS extensions: 3D, Spatial, Network and Tracking Analyst.

• Experience of providing GIS support to multidiscipline, client focused, project environments.

• Understanding of spatial data formats and spatial reference systems.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Proven experience of delivering to deadlines within pressurized environments.

• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience of working with and controlling a large number of evolving datasets.

• Experience using ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE and Enterprise GeoDBs.

• Experience using FME Desktop and Server.

• Experience using AutoCAD software (including Civil 3D and Map).

• Hands on experience of using CAD derived data within a GIS environment.

• Experience of Authority submissions standards and requirements in the GCC.

• Experience of ‘automation’ and of utilising the latest ESRI tools, software and enhancements to offer clients improve efficiency and enhanced project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Key contact for GIS within the project team.

• Completion of tasks received from engineers and the GIS manager.

• Integration of data from multiple sources into the spatial data repository.

• Analysis, interrogation and manipulation of spatial data received from stakeholders and third parties.

• Spatial and temporal analysis of data.

• Preparation of sketches & figures.

• Adherence to project GIS and data management manual.

• Adherence to project quality procedures.

• Look for opportunities to use GIS and information management processes to increase efficiency on the project.
