ROLE SUMMARY

The Digital Solutions Manager partners with functional leaders and process leads in GCC enabling functions to establish and execute upon a strategic Digital roadmap which realizes business goals and objectives in a matrix organization environment.

What you’ll do

• Map outs (defines, creates) the digital roadmap (digital and technical capabilities, planned timelines, planned budget) and aligns with Business Leads
• Works with global, international and area Digital/IT teams to shape local demand and assess proposed solutions in alignment with digital/IT strategic direction, policies and standards
• Creates project plans, identifies & structures problems/challenges, leads cross-functional teams’ problem-solving efforts by using subject matter expertise in the Digital / Business Solutions area
• Leads end to end digital project management including planning, analysis, build/development phase (in partnership with vendors and/or AZ Digital/IT teams), testing, piloting/validating, release/deploy/ go-live
• Facilitates digital operating council meetings, provides visibility on the digital roadmap execution to ensure all stakeholders are aware and up to date on the overall project progress, achievements, risks and issues
• Drives the alignment of new digital platforms and solutions that are cascaded from global, international or area teams; leads or supports local deployment of these solutions
• Monitors the utilization of digital solutions/platforms; identifies and raises issues; provides guidance to business leads and stakeholders to maximize adoption and utilization
• Constantly looks for better ways of solving problems, investigates and suggests alternative solutions and challenges the status quo for continuous improvements
• Establishes and maintain a strong relationship with IT partners. Partners with internal stakeholders (legal, procurement etc.) to execute contracting processes in the form of Statement of Work (SoW)
• As a people manager, creates an inspiring team environment with open communication environment, provides direction on the goals, delegates tasks, continuously coaches and supports development of the team
• Conduct 1:1 performance review meeting, provide continuous constructive feedback, deliver new starter inductions, and deliver the necessary training to new starters
• Manages/ governs end to end digital assets of AZ GCCP cluster that built for enabling functions

Essential for the role

• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or a related field
• 7-10 years of work experience in a similar role and experience in managing people
• Prior work experience in pharma industry with strong business acumen
• Prior experience in managing and implementing end to end large scale projects with a strong expertise in digital technologies
• Proven record of delivering business and digital solutions through process digitization, automation, analytics etc.
• Experienced in delivering solutions with vendors, managing vendors, planning and managing budget
• Experienced in applying IT best practice methodologies (ITIL, Agile, Prince2)

• this role is based in Dubai; relocation is not offered so only candidates based in Dubai will be considered.

Desirable for the role

• Preferably cross industrial experience
• Preferred to prior experience in design thinking, lean and six sigma practices
