One of our clients who is into the shipping Industry is looking for a warehouse Manager.Responsibilities:Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.Develop and implement warehouse management procedures and best practices to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.Lead, train, and manage warehouse personnel, including creating schedules, conducting performance reviews, and addressing staffing needs.Coordinate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure effective supply chain management and meet delivery timelines.Manage budget for warehouse operations, including labor, supplies, and equipment.Ensure compliance with safety procedures and legal regulations.Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to prevent stock discrepancies.Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to track goods throughput and maintain accurate inventory.Prepare reports on warehouse performance and metrics for upper management.Handle problems arising in logistics or customer delivery issues efficiently to prevent delays.Optimize storage layouts and organize warehouse space according to the best practices in the industry.Conduct regular audits of physical inventory and reconcile with system records.Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure proper upkeep and functionality of warehouse tools and machinery.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, preferably within the shipping or logistics industry.Strong knowledge of warehouse management software and databases.Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage staff.A strong understanding of customer service, inventory management, and logistics.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.Good physical stamina and the ability to handle the demands of a warehouse environment.Understanding of safety management and quality assurance in warehousing.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
