Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the vital part of the supply chain process, oversees the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a range of goods. The role encompasses the management of people, processes, and systems in order to ensure efficient & organized storage, goods are received and dispatched appropriately, and that productivity targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the warehouse efficiently in compliance with Company’s policies and procedures.
2. Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
3. Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
4. Manage daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics coordination, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
5. Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
6. Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing adaptive design layouts; manage utilization of space.
7. Inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
8. Adhere to all warehousing and shipping legislation requirements for smooth documentation & workflow process.
9. Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
10. Plan future capacity requirements.
11. Liaise with internal operations teams, third party agencies, transport companies etc.
12. Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with Drivers and logistics partners to ensure efficient delivery of shipments.
13. Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
14. Coordinating with In-house Logistics Team and External Shipment / Freight Forwarding Agencies and manage both inbound and outbound shipment (domestic and international shipments).
15. Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
16. Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, etc.).
17. Meet regularly with warehouse team, to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
18. Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
19. Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
20. Explore and implement the best suitable WMS Software in the warehouse (ad-hoc project).
Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Business Management / Logistics & Supply Chain Management / Operations Management or relevant field. Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in managing the Warehouse and Supply Chain process; mainly handling Export (GCC & ME); preferably in FMCG / Retail Industry. Good IT knowledge & skills including working with anyone ERP (SAP / Oracle / MSD). Hands on experience with WMS is preferred.
