Job DescriptionDesign, install, configure, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based IT systems with a focus on security.Manage and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) to ensure optimal network performance and robust security posture.Administer Windows Server environments, including user accounts, permissions, and group policies, with a focus on least privilege and secure configurations.Implement and manage security solutions like firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security solutions.Perform system backups, disaster recovery procedures, and vulnerability assessments to maintain a strong security posture.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity, ensuring security considerations are addressed throughout the process.Provide technical support to internal users, fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness.Participate in system upgrades and migrations, prioritizing security best practices during the implementation process.Document system configurations, security procedures, and incident response plans.Stay up-to-date on emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry best practices.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.1-3 years of experience as a System Engineer or similar IT role with a focus on security.Strong understanding of networking concepts and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).Experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, with a focus on security best practices.Experience with network security concepts and firewall management (e.g., Cisco ASA, Fortinet FortiGate).Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) is a plus.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a critical security mindset.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A passion for technology, security, and a commitment to continuous learning.Preferred Qualifications:MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) or other relevant IT security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or CISSP).Experience with Linux administration and security tools.
