Archiplexus Architecture and Design Hiring for Cost Engineer at Dubai Full Time

The Cost Manager is responsible for overseeing the cost control function on construction projects at a leading Multi-disciplinary Consultancy in Dubai. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Cost Manager collaborates closely with the project management, design, administrative teams, and external stakeholders to ensure effective cost management.

Responsibilities
Quantity Surveying:
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Prepare and review bills of quantities and tender documents.
• Manage the tender process, including bid evaluation and contractor selection.
• Monitor and verify contractor payments and progress payments.
• Prepare interim and final payment certificates.

Cost Reporting:
• Develop and maintain cost reports, including budget vs. actual cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete reports.
• Provide regular cost reports to the project management team and external stakeholders.
• Analyze cost data and provide recommendations to improve project cost performance.

Risk Management:
• Manage the change order process, assessing change requests and negotiating change orders with contractors.
• Ensure change orders are properly documented and approved.

Change Management:

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in cost management on construction projects in the UAE.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of local and international regulations and standards related to cost management on construction projects.
