Job Description
Dubai Holding Entertainment currently has an exciting career opportunity within our Assets. We are looking to hire a Senior Sales Manager – Events responsible for corporate events, especial events, concerts, wedding, team building, community engagement, sponsorship engagement MICE, special events, fashion shows, especially leasing, sports activities and any other revenue generation activity in a B2B and B2C environment.
Key Accountabilities (Includes, but not limited to the following):
- To generate a calendar of events across the year of all the above section with the aim to improve footfall throughout the destination
- Work closely with Marketing and stakeholders.
- Generate business and manage requests
- To drive all local market activity relating to corporate accounts, specialist contracted partners across all listed segments
- To lead proposals quotations based on direction given by operators on costs
- To lead liaison with the operational teams until the event running order is finalized and deliver comprehensive event brief
- Work with partners to create packages
- Work with DET to drive major city events
- To take ownership of contracting and system set-up for all existing and new contracted partners
- To ensure sales KPI’s are met with clear understanding of revenue and sales goals for their assigned market(s)
- To adhere to all policies and procedures to the satisfaction of internal stakeholders
- Follow all relevant QHSE-IMS procedures and relevant legal requirements so that a certain minimum level of product/service quality can be guaranteed, personal health & safety, the safety of others and company assets are not jeopardized, and the activities carried out are consistent with DHE’s vision of environmental protection and safety.
Skills
Skillset, Education and Experience:
- Clear understanding of promotions and execution of programs across all marketing channels
- Ability to multi-tasks and meet tight deadlines with excellent time management skills.
- Understanding of Events industry peculiarities to ensure that designs created are in accordance and not offensive
- Microsoft, Google Docs, and MS Word /Excel/PPT
- Good organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Tourism/ Hospitality/Education
- Prior experience of managing a team
- At least 5 years’ experience in the destination, Events, attractions, or hospitality industry
