Dubai Holding Entertainment currently has an exciting career opportunity within our Assets at Roxy Cinema. We are looking to hire a Demi Chef De Partie & Commi responsible for assisting in the preparation of food and beverages that will delight our Guests, perform food preparation according to the standard as well as take a broad range of kitchen responsibilities.
Key Accountabilities (Includes, but not limited to the following):
- To display a friendly, helpful, and cheerful attitude while communicating effectively with our Guests and fellow Team Members to support company Vision, Core Values, and Service Excellence Guidelines.
- To represent & promote Roxy Cinema and business unit in a positive manner to maintain a professional brand image.
- To listen actively to our guest feedback, requests, and concerns to act in an ethical, effective, and timely manner to exceed their expectations.
- To ensure the enforcement of business unit rules and provide crowd control in an efficient manner throughout the areas as necessary to ensure the guest`s safety an enjoyable experience.
- Follow, implement, and train on HACCP procedures
- Observe and practice good food hygiene procedures.
- Follow Workplace Hygiene procedures in accordance with Food Safety Program.
- Develop knowledge to operate all specialized kitchen equipment.
- Develop knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
- Ensure food handling is carried out according to Food Safety Program.
- Perform corrective action within the level of responsibility, according to the Food Safety Program
- Demonstrate manual-handling techniques.
- Clean, maintain and follow operating procedures for all basic equipment as outlined in the kitchen manuals.
- Receive and store stock using stock rotation method.
- Monitor and record temperatures.
- Follow chemical safety procedures.
- Assist with monthly stock takes.
- To work mainly indoors in a warm and possibly humid environment.
- To work in wet conditions with heated water and cooking agents.
- Display courtesy towards all Guests and Team Members.
Skills
Education and Experience:
- High School Certificate/ Certification in Food and Beverage Catering would be an advantage
- Prior experience in food and beverage / cinema/ movie and culture
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a culinary industry
