As a Store Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store, restocking merchandise, and supporting the overall functioning of the retail environment. You will work closely with the store management to ensure exceptional customer service and efficient store operations.Responsibilities:Customer Service: Greet customers upon entry, assist them in finding products, answer inquiries about products, prices, and availability, and provide recommendations as needed.Cashier Duties: Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, issue receipts, and maintain a clean and orderly checkout area.Stocking and Merchandising: Receive, unpack, and label merchandise shipments, stock shelves and displays, ensure products are properly priced and labeled, and perform periodic inventory counts.Store Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the store, including aisles, shelves, and restrooms. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning windows.Assist in Receiving and Returns: Assist with receiving shipments, verify contents against invoices, and process returns and exchanges according to store policies.Product Knowledge: Stay informed about product features, promotions, and sales events. Continuously update knowledge of products to provide accurate information to customers.Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives. Communicate effectively with coworkers and management to ensure smooth operations.Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Follow established protocols for handling and storing merchandise, maintaining security measures, and preventing loss or theft.Problem Resolution: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Escalate issues to management as needed for resolution.Upselling and Cross-selling: Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products to customers based on their needs and preferences.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Basic math skills and proficiency in operating cash registers.Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
