Job Description
DESCRIPTION Amazon seeks a Risk Manager (L4), to be part of DPS Operations team, based in Cairo, Egypt. The candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activity of the Operations Team, collaborate with cross-functional partners & stake holders like Global Operations teams, project/product teams, Quality and Training teams, configuration & tech teams. The Risk Manager will participate in continuous improvement activities aimed at implementing DPS screening program implementation for all of Amazon business across all marketplaces.
They will support senior leadership and relevant stakeholders, and will serve as an SME of risk compliance operations and track the effectiveness of the program to comply with the various U.S. and international sanctions rules and regulations.
Key job responsibilities
Manage program KPIs
Manage team and program performance
Coach and mentor team members
Monitor and report on daily team attendance
Co-ordinate workforce Management assignments among team members and validate adherence in lieu with the priorities set
Review Business and Compliance escalations and share analysis
Participate in weekly calibration with cross functional operations team & QA
Gain SME around process and contribute to continuous improvement of SOPs and tools
Conduct deep dives to uncover trends, opportunities and draft plan of action to drive sustained efficiencies
Review weekly performance, covering performance against goals, operational headcount oversight (NPT, Shrinkage etc.), conducts gap analyses and adopt remediation steps
Participate in weekly and monthly business reviews
Plan and execute activities that recognize, motivate, and develop your team
Participate in hiring activities for the program and team
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess a Bachelors Degree
Candidates should not be on any active coaching plans
Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate concepts into clear steps and communicate to stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Analytical and problem solving skills with a can do attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves.
Experience working with geographically distributed teams within a complex international organization.
Sense of accountability and sound professional judgment.
Maintain individual accountability for performance metrics, ensuring ever-increasing levels of productivity and accuracy against established benchmarks.
Ability to make decisions in a timely manner with incomplete or ambiguous information.
Maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained during the investigations process.
Ability to identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities which will benefit internal and external customers.
ACAMs certification.
High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
