Job Description
Communicates parts orders to counter people. Advises whether status is stock or emergency. Checks with customers to ensure that delivery date of non-stock items is acceptable before ordering. Reviews any special orders with the parts manager and obtains h approval. Utilizing their knowledge of the parts they sell, they can greet customers, help them locate the parts they need and educate them about part function. Other responsibilities may include accepting payment, stocking inventory and notifying customers of current promotions.Parts salespersons sell spare and replacement parts and equipment, especially car parts. Most work in either automotive parts stores or automobile dealerships. They take customers orders, inform customers of part availability and price, and take inventory.
