Al Rostamani Pegel is a main contractor in the UAE Construction Industry and has to its credit, timely and successful construction of several multipurpose projects including high rise buildings, villas, hotels, hospitals and industrial facilities.
Job Purpose
To ensure the Project Manager’s instructions are implemented on project site.
Ensures execution of project as per instruction and program in accordance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Complying with all Company policies, quality procedures, statutory regulations and project specifications for the work allocated to him
- To ensure that all assigned work by the PM or CM is carried out in a professional manner and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the project in compliance with the contracted conditions.
- Must be fully conversant with all the contract documents. Ensuring that safety rules and regulations are communicated to the workforce and are fully enforced
- Ensuring that the quality of material and installation of work is in accordance with the acceptance criteria identified for the project
- Collect all resource allocated under his team and the production data and compile the same daily and submit the same to the CM or his reporting manager
- Material and equipment management
- Co-ordination of site staff and equipment for the project
- General site management
- Responsible for the production, quality and performance of the team allocated to him.
- Review all coordinate drawings received and execute with proper coordination with all assigned Sub Contractors
- Ensuring that work is executed in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications, agreed procedures and method statements
- Ensuring that all information on drawings is conveyed to the workforce in a proper manner and details produced where require
- Directing Construction in accordance with the agreed Clause 14 program and the 2 week look ahead program
- Responsible for the proper execution of 4 week and 2 week targets and monitoring the same on a daily basis.
- Planning and control of material operation and Supervision
- Monitoring all Subcontractors work closely to ensure that the Quality of the work is as per specification and is completed on time
- Control of Subcontractors performances
- Completing all necessary Q.A. documentation related to the work under his direct control and co-ordinate daily site inspections
- Managing site documentation / construction file
- Output controls of labours and implement steps to improve
- Arrange daily reports
- Highlighting possible variations to Project Manager
- Carrying out the tasks identified by the Project or Construction Manager
- Preparation of designated procedures
- Signing of the time cards. Control and sign Overtime sheets daily
- Ensures that the company’s Management Systems (Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems, etc.) are implemented, complied with and maintained across all branch activities and associated project sites.
Job Requirements
Qualification
- Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Experience
- With 7 – 10 years of relevant experience in the construction / contracting industry
Knowledge & Skills
- Handled similar projects – high rise building, hospitals, hotels, etc.:
- Understanding and implementation of QHSE systems/practices for construction industry
