The Al Futtaim group legal team is currently seeking an experienced legal professional to join the organization as a ‘Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial’.

ROLE PURPOSE

Providing commercial legal advice and support to Al Futtaim’s Automotive, Retail, Healthcare and Engineering/Technology divisions across the MENA and South East Asian regions.

Accountability

• Drafting, negotiating, and/or reviewing a diverse range of commercial contracts across multiple business areas, including MOUs, joint venture agreements, distributorship/franchise/licensing agreements, procurement and supply agreements, technology agreements, and sales terms and conditions
• Drafting precedent agreements
• Drafting and/or reviewing policies and procedures
• Assisting with acquisitions, due diligence processes and divestments
• Supporting legal, finance and tax teams in company-wide special projects and initiatives
• Outsourcing legal services and liaising with external counsel as required
• Staying up to date with legal and industry developments and key business information and sharing knowledge within the legal team and across the business
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships within the legal team and across the business
• Demonstrating a practical commercial approach

Education

• The successful candidate must have appropriate legal qualifications gained in a common law country.

Minimum Experience and Knowledge

• 5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience, some of which should have been gained in-house with a diversified group
• Fluent in English
• Regional experience, though not essential, would be an advantage
